Gladys was taken in to Kaiser hospital last Sunday because of her Diabetes. Her toes on her left foot turned black and needed to be treated. The doctor performed an amputation about half way down passed her knee! She has been having a hard time recovering with all the pain and the loss of her mobility. When you go to see her in the hospital she is usually asleep. Donna allowed me to snap this picture when I was there today. She has been at the hospital for a week, and the next stop is a convalescent home.

Awww, this picture makes me very sad. For both Gladys and Donna. Poor Gladys to have to go through that. I hope she starts being out of pain soon. Pain Sucks.
I remember when we use to take Gladys shopping at the Albertsons that Bob use to work at. Gosh that was a long long time ago.
I'm so sorry to hear of Glady's pain and life-changing surgery. I hope there is some healing and improvement in her health. I hope Donna is coping well and knows that we want her to find peace and comfort as seeing her mom struggle is hard.
